The Warehouse Group Announces Executive Appointments

The Warehouse Group today announces the appointment of Stefan Knight as Group Chief Financial Officer, commencing 11 August 2025, and the promotion of Silv Roest to Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer, effective 1 August 2025.

Mr. Knight joins the Group from his previous role as Financial Director at Spark NZ. A Chartered Accountant, he brings substantial leadership experience in finance and business performance. His appointment strengthens the Group’s financial leadership as it sharpens its focus on cost control, margin improvement and operational discipline.

“I look forward to working with the team to help The Warehouse Group navigate current challenges, build momentum and deliver on its commitment to creating long-term value for shareholders, customers and team members,” said Mr. Knight.

Ms. Roest, currently General Counsel and Company Secretary, has been promoted to Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer. She joined The Warehouse Group in 2024 and has extensive experience in legal and compliance, governance and stakeholder relations, with previous leadership roles at Spark NZ, and began her career at Russell McVeagh. Ms. Roest will lead the Group’s legal and compliance, and corporate affairs functions, and will retain the role of Company Secretary.

“I am proud to join the Executive Leadership Team and continue supporting The Warehouse Group’s evolution,” said Ms. Roest. “With the pace of change in retail and the broader landscape, there has never been a more important time to build trust, strengthen governance and foster strong relationships.”

Incoming Group Chief Executive Officer Mark Stirton commented, “Since joining The Warehouse Group in 2024, Silv has already made a meaningful contribution across the business. We are delighted to welcome her to the Executive Leadership Team in a broader capacity.” Mr. Stirton added, “We are also thrilled to welcome Stefan and are confident he will bring sharp commercial focus to the Executive Leadership team.”
