AIA - October Monthly Traffic Update

Key points:

• In October 2025 there was a total of 876k international passenger movements in the month, a 2% increase compared to the same month in 2024. Excluding transits, international passenger movements for the month of October 2025 increased by 3% on the prior year. International seat capacity increased 5% on the same month last year resulting in average load factors of 84%, a 2.6 percentage point decline;

• Passenger numbers and seat capacity on the short-haul international network increased by 3% and 9% respectively on the prior year with average load factors at 85% a 4.9 percentage point decline. Long-haul international passenger numbers and seat capacity both increased by 1% producing load factors of 82% a 0.2 percentage point increase compared to the same month in the prior year;

• Domestic passenger movements increased by 1% in the month of October 2025 when compared to the same month in the prior year, with seat capacity increasing 2%, resulting in a 0.6 percentage point reduction in load factors to 84%. Passenger numbers on the domestic trunk routes grew 2% compared to the year prior with 4% more seat capacity reducing load factors by 1.3 percentage points to 84%; and

• Queenstown Airport international passenger numbers in October 2025 increased 8% on the year prior and domestic passengers increased 6% on the same month last year.
