  • Previous positions have included assistant chief of Air Force strategy management, director of strategic commitments, director of defence intelligence, deputy chief of Air Force, assistant chief capability, and air component commander, NZ defence adviser to India.
  • Career has included tours on P3 Orion aircraft, being an instructor with the Royal Australian Air Force, command of an operational mission in the Middle East, and a tour as commanding officer of No. 5 Squadron.
  • Completed Staff College in Australia. Has a Master’s degree in management (defence studies) from the University of Canberra and a graduate diploma in defence studies from the University of New South Wales.
