The total export tally for New Zealand red meat and related products reached $1.1 billion in March, a year-on-year increase of 12 percent, the Meat Industry Association said. The monthly export value of red meat topped $1 billion for the first time despite a 9 percent drop in the value of meat exports to China, reflecting the covid-19 slowdown in that country.
