A well-known plant-based brand has been sold to a new company led by its original founder, leaving behind more than $2.25 million in unpaid debts.This includes a $1.25m government loan, of which only a small portion has been recovered, according to liquidator filings. Sustainable Foods, which traded under the Plan*t brand and supplied products to Hell Pizza, Air New Zealand and BurgerFuel, was placed into voluntary administration in August 2024. Liquidation followed in November after creditors voted to wind up the business. Accor...
