Annual inflation remains firmly within the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's target range, paving the way for a 50-basis-point rate cut next month. New Zealand's Consumers Price Index (CPI) rose 2.2% in the 12 months to the December quarter, according to figures released by Stats NZ on Wednesday.The lift follows a 2.2% increase in the 12 months to the September quarter.On-quarter inflation was 0.5%.Tradeable – or imported – inflation ticked up 0.3% quarter on quarter, but the annual percentage change was a 1.1% slide.Non-tr...
