Australian tourists are travelling to New Zealand in growing numbers, more than offsetting the ongoing decline in Chinese visitors. Stats NZ figures show the number of short-term Australian visitors was 131,400 in September, up 6.4 percent from the same month a year earlier, taking the annual tally to 1.53 million, up 3.8 percent.
