The government has thrown the tourism industry a limited lifeline, announcing holiday and other travel around New Zealand will be permitted when the country moves down to covid-19 alert level 2, expected next Thursday at the earliest.However, the move to level 2 may be phased in, with "higher-risk elements" being implemented after lower-risk elements.The earliest that level 2 is likely to be implemented is from next Thursday morning as the government will again give 48 hours' notice of a move between alert levels and will not anno...
