Logistics and courier company Freightways has reported a 9.5% increase in net profit despite challenging trading conditions and reduced activity from customers.Freightways announced its result for the first half of the 2025 financial year to the New Zealand Exchange (NZX) on Monday, reporting net profit after tax (npat) of $44.7 million and earnings before income, tax and amortisation (ebita) of $86m, up 6.5% on the previous comparable period.Chief executive Mark Troughear and chair Mark Cairns said volumes for the six months were as...
