Data from just the first week of Auckland's second lockdown shows the region's job losses due to covid-19 are now worse than anywhere else in the country.As of Aug. 20, 11,000 Aucklanders, or about 1 percent of the working age population, were receiving the Covid-19 Income Relief Payment (CIRP). That's up from 0.74 percent on Jul. 20, a steady increase while the rest of the country saw the number of CIRP recipients plateau.It was enough to see Auckland surge past Otago and Canterbury as the region with the most CIRP recipients...
