Transport minister Michael Wood expects construction on Auckland’s $100 million northwestern bus improvements project to be complete by late 2022 before work kicks off on the new Westgate bus station in 2023.Funding for the project, which will connect the bus lanes on State Highway 16 between Westgate and Newton and includes new bus stops and the new station, will be split between the covid response and recovery fund and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.Wood said with 100,000 people expected to move into the northwest area in the next 30 y...
