Port of Tauranga remains frustrated at the “glacial pace” of the regulatory process as the port heads into a third year of delays to a proposed extension to its container terminal.The country’s largest port started planning and consultation for the project in 2019 and lodged its application in 2020. That was subsequently declined under government’s "shovel ready" fast-track consenting programme.
