Fletcher Building wowed investors with a mostly stronger-than-expected first-half result and a significantly higher full-year forecast than analysts had pencilled in.The company reported a 41% jump in first-half net profit to $171 million, although earnings before interest and tax (ebit) were up just 3% to $332m.Chief executive Ross Taylor is forecasting full-year ebit before significant items to come in at about $750m, much higher than the analysts' consensus forecasts.Forsyth Barr put the latter at $697m while Jarden said Bloomberg consen...
