KiwiRail says it's targeting an operating surplus of between $147 million to $162m for the full year to June, a significant step up on the $91.1m reported for the 2020 financial year. This is also a big jump from the $64.9m reported for the six months to December 31, which the rail operator said was impacted by pandemic restrictions and higher capital and employee costs.The operating surplus represents earnings before depreciation and amortisation, interest, impairment, capital grants and fair value changes.Target revenue for the full...
