NZTA advances $14m to Transmission Gully as talks drag on

The New Zealand Transport Agency will advance $14 million to help cover the cost of the covid-19 lockdown on construction of the 27-kilometre highway, but a longer-term deal is still in negotiation. The government agency said it is still negotiating the full impact with the Wellington Gateway Partnership contracted to build and maintain the road for 25 years, and the CPB Contractors-HEB Construction joint venture doing the work.
