The Retirement Commissioner Jane Wrightson's call for an urgent inquiry into legislation governing the retirement village sector is "unnecessary and excessive", Oceania Healthcare chair Elizabeth Coutts told its annual shareholders' meeting.Coutts was echoing the exact words of the Retirement Village Association (RVA) in rejecting Wrightson's call.Instead, the Retirement Commissioner's office should "focus its efforts on working with the industry to implement a series of improvements that are already underway...
