A second-term Labour government would allocate a minimum monthly quota of 1,400 critical skilled workers into the country, while keeping isolation requirements intended to keep covid-19 out. Its policy announcement came an hour after the government said it will relax rules on exceptions for critical workers coming to New Zealand while the borders are closed.  Labour said it will develop an allocation system that gives 10 percent of isolation capacity to critical workers while keeping the majority available for returning New Zealanders....
