A cyber-attack on the New Zealand parliament by a Chinese government-backed organisation occurred in 2021, as revealed by NZ's external cyber-intelligence agency.According to a press release from the office of Judith Collins, the minister responsible for the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB), the attack came from a state-sponsored group known as APT40, which has links to China.It breached parts of the IT systems of the Parliamentary Service, which provides all IT services to members of parliament and the Parliamentary Counsel...
