The Laura Fergusson Trust (LFT) has welcomed a decision to take a long-standing dispute over a change in disability services to mediation.The trust is being sued by the Friends of the Laura Fergusson Trust after it closed its Auckland disabled rehabilitation centre in 2020, and later sold it. It followed a decision by the trust that its services were no longer aligned with government policy or financially sustainable.The Friends of the Laura Fergusson Trust was set up in response to the controversy.Much of the case will still be heard...
