The NZ Law Society is fighting to have hearsay evidence heard in the upcoming disciplinary tribunal case of the former Russell McVeagh partner accused of sexual misconduct.A full hearing is expected to take place this May after the NZ Law Society’s National Standards Committee charged the lawyer with eight charges of misconduct or unsatisfactory conduct.The would-be complainant, referred to as Ms K, has chosen not to give evidence at the hearing, but the committee’s case is supported by several other former Russell McVeagh interns.T...
