The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants has declined to lift name suppression protecting the identity of an individual at the heart of a case where a practitioner was struck off. Last year, Kelera Nayacakalou was stripped of her insolvency practitioner's licence by the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants’ (NZICA) disciplinary tribunal for misconduct. The case centred on Nayacakalou’s use of an unlicensed insolvency practitioner and previously convicted tax fraudster, whom she failed to supervise properly.B...
