The Climate Change Commission on Thursday said New Zealand’s progress on climate change adaptation isn’t happening at the scale or speed needed, adding that the status quo was not sustainable. Climate Change Minister Simon Watts tabled the Climate Change Commission’s (CCC) first progress report on the national adaptation plan (Nap), released in 2022. It is an assessment of how effective the Nap is and how well it is being implemented. The CCC will now report on progress every two years. The commission also...
