Serious punters say legislating to prevent competition in the sports betting industry will stack the odds against them.Minister for Racing Winston Peters unveiled legislation in December to reinstate the TAB's monopoly in New Zealand.  If agreed upon, the Racing Industry Act will be amended to make it illegal for any organisation to sell sports bet wagers to NZers other than the TAB.
