The number of lawyers suffering from burnout has risen by almost 10% in the past 12 months, according to an industry wellbeing study.Conducted by market research company Perceptive and the College of Law New Zealand, the survey found 64% of respondents’ mental health had suffered because of burnout, up from 55% in 2020.Burnout was particularly noticeable among younger to mid-aged lawyers, and stress was the most common mental health issue, followed by anxiety and sleep disorders.The survey also found the number of lawyers leaving the...
