Eric Watson is on the warpath against the Securities Exchange Commission over the insider trading case it has brought against him, with plans to skirt the commission’s own act that bars him from making a counterclaim. Last Friday, he wrote to the New York presiding judge in the case, Andrew Carter jnr, seeking advice about amending his counterclaim because of the “unique circumstances of the case” and because he needed more time to outline “several critical issues” raised this month by the Securities Exchange...
