The Commerce Commission is appealing the recent Auckland district court sentence against Vodafone New Zealand that saw the company fined $2.25 million.The Commerce Commission said in a statement the sentence is “manifestly inadequate” for “wilful” breaches of the Fair Trading Act during an advertising campaign.Vodafone announced it is also appealing the conviction and fine and said in a statement: "We are very disappointed with the outcome and respectfully disagree with the court’s decisions."The tel...
