Comvita co-founder Alan Bougen is confident he has enough shareholder support to block the proposed takeover by Florenz, which is owned by billionaire Mark Stewart.Describing the offer as “pretty offensive”, Bougen is forming a syndicate to vote against the scheme of arrangement at a special meeting in Auckland on Nov 14.Bougen, who holds a 3.38% stake in Comvita, said his syndicate comprises long-term institutional investors as well as smaller shareholders, and he is disappointed they have not been consulted over the past year...
