MARKET OPEN: NZ market may extend tentative rally

The New Zealand share market may extend yesterday's tentative rally as investors eye the potential easing of lockdown restrictions early next week. The S&P/NZX 50 Index turned around a 1.5 percent decline yesterday to end up 0.3 percent. Investors were cheered by news there were no new covid-19 cases in New Zealand, that work is underway to create a trans-Tasman “bubble” and that alert level 2 could be in place by early next week.
