There is not much spring in the Kiwi dollar’s step as September begins.The New Zealand dollar was trading at 58.93 US cents late Tuesday in Wellington, slightly better than 58.01 US cents it touched last month, but 6% lower than the start of spring last year. It is good news and bad. It mitigates some of the 15% tariff on exports to the US but also means imports cost more. The Reserve Bank of NZ (RBNZ) cut the official cash rate (OCR) to 3% in late August as expected but the kiwi took a tumble when its central forecasts signalle...
