Central Otago gold mine developer Santana Minerals has secured freehold land rights for all of the land it requires for mining operations in a $55 million deal with local landowners.The $50m purchase of 797 hectares of land from the existing Bendigo station is subject to both the granting of resource consents and approval from the Overseas Investment Office.Access to another 92 hectares of land for $4.75m, to be paid in stages, will “enable security of land for the conveying of water and infrastructure to the mine”.The mai...
