NZX’s IT chief resigns after cyber-attacks

NZX’s chief information officer David Godfrey has resigned following a string of cyber attacks that stopped share trading at the end of August.In a statement, chief executive Mark Peterson said Godfrey had been an “incredibly valuable and loyal member of the NZX team over the past decade” but would leave the company at the end of the year.No reason was given for his departure, but the year has seen two major IT problems with the exchange being overwhelmed by heavy trading in March and cyber attacks interrupting trading for the...
