Trading on NZX halted as connection lost

The NZX has been placed in a trading halt after its internet connection went down this afternoon. In an email seen by BusinessDesk, the NZX said access to its system via the internet was not available as the exchange was experiencing a network connectivity issue with its provider. The connection appears to have been lost just before 4pm, when the S&P/NZX 50 Index was trading up 0.6 percent at 11,993.18.
