National Party deputy leader Gerry Brownlee says he will not seek reappointment when the party’s caucus meets on Tuesday.The former Ilam MP announced he will stand down as the Electoral Commission delivered the final elections standings which show National will have an even smaller team in Parliament down from 35 MPs to 33“My focus, moving forward, will be on rebuilding National’s base in Christchurch and representing our voters there,” Brownlee said.
