One dead and two injured at Ports of Auckland site

A tornado that ripped through south Auckland around 8:30am toppled stacked shipping containers at Ports of Auckland's Wiri freight hub, leaving one person dead and injuring two others.Police attended the scene at Wiri Station Rd and Worksafe said it "had been notified and was making enquiries."The tornado uprooted trees, brought power lines down and damaged or destroyed as many as 60 homes, according to initial estimates.Fire and Emergency NZ said more than 20 crews from across the city were assisting and a command unit was on the...
