Bill Osborne will step down as Ports of Auckland chair at the end of September after eight months in the job.Osborne, a director at the port since May 2017, took over as chair in January after the abrupt departure of former chair Liz Coutts. The professional director and president of New Zealand Rugby is also the chair of engineering firm Page & Macrae and is on the Transpower board.Osborne said he decided to leave ahead of an overseas trip during the final quarter of the year.
