Rocket Lab has added to its space portfolio by agreeing to buy laser communications firm Mynaric for US$75 million (NZ$131.2m).The New Zealand-US company has been on an acquisition drive as it looks to pursue every part of the space value chain.Rocket Lab said a key driver of the deal was that Mynaric is already a subcontractor – and it has over US$300m invested in the US firm to date.The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and customary covenants.“We have been very clear about this strategic direction for several years now &nda...
