NZ dollar benefits from weaker USD, supportive domestic data

By Rebecca Howard Oct. 10 (BusinessDesk) - The New Zealand dollar gained as the greenback continued to ease in Asia and as investors were cheered by positive domestic data. The kiwi traded at 64.84 US cents at 5pm in Wellington from 64.66 US cents at 8am and 64.44 cents yesterday. The trade-weighted index advanced to 70.98 from 70.64.  The US dollar remained under pressure after the yield on US 10-year Treasuries eased 2 basis points to 3.21 percent.
