NZ dollar gains on US dollar weakness, soft Australian data

By Rebecca Howard June 6 (BusinessDesk) -  The New Zealand dollar extended its gains against a broadly weak US dollar and rose against the Aussie after Australia's first quarter current account data disappointed investors and the Reserve Bank of Australia kept interest rates on hold. The kiwi rose to 71.56 US cents as at 5pm from 71.34 US cents as at 8am and  71.18 cents late yesterday.
