NZ dollar little changed by upbeat Australian retail sales as ECB meeting looms
By Paul McBeth Aug. 2 (BusinessDesk) - The New Zealand dollar was little changed in local trading after better-than-expected consumer spending figures in Australian as investors prepare for the European Central Bank’s review of monetary policy. The kiwi traded at 80.91 US cents at 5pm from 80.87 cents at 8am and 81.04 cents yesterday. The trade-weighted index was little changed at 73 from 72.93.
