 NZ jobless rate inches higher, wage inflation still missing in action

By Rebecca Howard Aug. 1 (BusinessDesk) - New Zealand's jobless rate inched higher in the June quarter and wage inflation remained tepid, however, growing pressure from strike action across different sectors could spur an eventual lift.   The unemployment rate lifted to 4.5 percent in the three months ended June 30 from 4.4 percent in March, Statistics New Zealand said in its household labour force survey.
