NZ posts $306 mln trade surplus in January as dairy leads record shipments to China

Feb 27 (BusinessDesk) – New Zealand posted its third straight trade surplus in January, as sales of dairy products drove record exports to China, cementing its status as the nation’s biggest market. The trade surplus was $306 million last month, a record for the month of January, from a revised $493 million in December, according to Statistics New Zealand.
