The thing that flabbergasted me the most about the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's 50 basis point hike in the official cash rate (OCR) last week was the lack of any mention of China.China wasn't mentioned at all in either the press release or the summary of the monetary policy committee's meeting.China has locked down the entire city of Shanghai, not allowing its 26 million people to leave their homes, even to buy food, and there are growing reports of people screaming in protest from their apartment windows.The over-burdened delivery...
