The greatest loss to Christopher Luxon from Andrew Bayly's departure from his commerce and consumer affairs portfolio, which he announced on Monday, should not be the immediate political embarrassment.It should be the fact that Bayly was doing a pretty good job in service of the prime minister’s “growth, growth, growth” mantra.However, the Tiggerish striver outside Cabinet was also an irritant to senior Cabinet colleagues, some of whom felt he was taking on and promising too much in his pursuit of pro-competition outcomes....
