New Zealand is poised to become self-sufficient on the guacamole front after Bay of Plenty-based Grove Avocado Oil snapped up Fressure Foods.The deal will lift Grove’s product output by using the part of the avocado which was previously discarded in the avocado oil-making process – the flesh. Grove bought the company from NZ foodservice produce supplier, Fresh Technologies, for an undisclosed amount.
