New Zealand is poised to become self-sufficient on the guacamole front after Bay of Plenty-based Grove Avocado Oil snapped up Fressure Foods.The deal will lift Grove’s product output by using the part of the avocado which was previously discarded in the avocado oil-making process – the flesh. Grove bought the company from NZ foodservice produce supplier, Fresh Technologies, for an undisclosed amount. Grove Avocado Oil general manager James Greenlees said the business move is perfectly aligned with Grove’s existing op...
