Akaroa King Salmon has appointed Scotsman Stewart Hawthorn as its new chief executive.Duncan Bates, founding partner and managing director since 2002, would remain as one of the partners on the board.Bates said Hawthorn brought more than 35 years of farming and salmon business experience to the role.He had known Hawthorn for more than two decades, and it was his preferred choice, Bates said.
