China has officially applied to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) on the heels of the US, UK and Australia inking a new Indo-Pacific security partnership aimed at addressing "security challenges" in the region. A ministry of foreign affairs spokesperson told BusinessDesk: "Their written request was delivered to the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing yesterday and confirmed by a phone call from Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao to Minister Damien O’Connor."Ste...
