Global dairy prices have dropped at the first auction of the calendar year.The average price at the first Global Dairy Trade auction of 2025 held overnight fell 1.4% to US$4029 (NZ$7145) a metric tonne (MT).It is the second consecutive auction where the average price has fallen with prices being driven higher by Chinese stockpiling in the lead-up to the Christmas break.At Wednesday’s auction, whole milk powder (WMP) – which makes up half of the auction by volume and has the biggest influence on the farmgate milk price – decrea...
