Farmote Systems has been bought out of receivership by two of its major shareholders.Gallagher and Barenbrug have formed a joint venture to take over the Christchurch-based agri-tech business.Launched in 2021 by Richard Barton, Farmote Systems designed a tool using cube satellite imagery, remote sensors, microelectronics and a weather-proof design to record pasture growth on farms automatically.Barton, who held a majority stake, called in PwC’s Malcolm Hollis and Wendy Somerville as receivers after the business effectively ran o...
