Fonterra has been unable to collect milk from 30 farms due to flooding preventing tanker access in areas cut off by the South Island deluge.The MetService has issued a “red warning” for heavy rain for Canterbury and multiple warnings elsewhere. A red warning is the most serious warning and indicates weather will likely cause damage.The Canterbury Civil Defence Emergency Management Group has declared a state of emergency across the entire Canterbury region. Hundreds of people have been evacuated so far and the damage is expected...
