Fonterra is merging its Australian business with its local brands unit in an effort to strengthen its trans-Tasman offering.From the start of May, Fonterra Brand New Zealand (FBNZ) and Fonterra will be integrated to become Fonterra Oceania.The new unit will be lead by managing director of the co-op’s Australian business Rene Dedoncker.In a letter to shareholders on Monday, chief executive Miles Hurrell said the change would strengthen Fonterra’s trans-Tasman offering in an “increasingly competitive” marketplace.As B...
